How to read self-improvement books(the optimum way)

We are all stuck in vicious circles, and we all want a worthwhile presence. A worthwhile presence demands competitive labor and any careless effort can shatter your dream car, house and even wife in some cases. The most recurring instances which propel you to get out the circle is when someone tells you that you are not good enough or when a colleague opens a thriving business or sometimes, in fact most of the time a human instinct kicks in and makes you ask "what am I doing with my life". Instances are so common that over the time people tackled them and reached the pinnacle of their existence i.e. self-actualization. And many of such persons reached out and got vocal about their failures and triumphs so that we can find carved pathways towards our success.  Self-help books can do wonders if you are willing to change, Follow these steps and you won't regret 😊

1. Don't fool yourself

Get into human psyche, as humans we love floating in high spirits but our mind can never go along with diligence, that's where practice comes into life. If you want short bursts of motivation to see life as delusional cakewalk, then you're free to read the book in one go but if you want sustainable fuel to light up your dreams, then you should focus on your purpose and intent. Self-help books try to provide a set of actionable rules and habits which you must practice in your day-to-day life to be a better version of yourself. You must ask yourself that how you could have done things differently to create a win-win scenario. Follow the AA (absorb and apply) approach, where you should try grasping every principle and consider its application, to see what works for you.

2. Reach the cause

Spend some time brainstorming to identify the lacuna which you want to fill in. If you want to change your habits then you should read "7 habits of highly effective people", you are looking to improve your psychology then go for "the power of positive thinking" or if you want to take immediate charge of financial destiny then "Rich Dad Poor Dad" is a must for you. Bottom line, improvement is endless, so identify the field and collect one base at a time.

3. Trust the book

Faithfully follow the principles of the book. "Same efforts would produce same results", if you want to achieve desired outcomes you must adopt different working patterns and strategies. The ultimate objective of self-help read is to acquire solid work ethics, if you cannot inculcate them then there's no point reading it.

4. Note-making

Note making is a great exercise if you want to grab the most out of the read, since learning is highly personalized experience you must make notes to get a better understanding of the concepts, it's a proven fact that you most likely to remember things which you write and self-explanation is the best explanation.

5. Revisiting

Whenever you feel stuck, just go through the summaries which you have created, to get a hang of approaches and methods stated in the book. Reinforcement is the key to create long lasing impacts. Consider the book as asset and exploit your asset in every possible way to reap the benefits.

6. Action, Action, Action

Your time is precious, don't read aimlessly if you can't implement it, simple as that. Develop the courage to venture out of comfort zone, because failure is abstract. Either you win or you learn and the more you learn, the more you win.......

Don't wait for an enlightening turn, wise men have their own directions and self - improvement books are the best navigators to have one wholesome life-changing experience, you are so close to have one that you don't even realize it.....
